I remember why I renounced my humanity. Its too difficult caring about people, and worrying about their well being and happiness, and protecting them from crap. Especially when you can’t even prove they exist! Beyond that though, humanity is too petty, and a lot of it is just false pretenses. We behave as we’re told, because “that’s just the way things are”. People don’t question things. People don’t understand other people and most of all they don’t understand themselves. And you expect me to be selfless and entertain your directionless banter? Yeah because these new sneakers are worth fighting over when people are dying. Or I’m supposed to be loyal and committed to one person because the “institution of marriage” and “monogamy” are sacred. Says who? And don’t say God, because unless a deity comes directly to me, in the waking world and says my beliefs are wrong, it ain’t happening. Most importantly they’d have to validate their claims are godhood.
But seriously, humanity hasn’t grown up or evolved from cro-magnon days. Instead of hitting our potential mates over the head, we dazzle them with fancy possessions or sweet words. Instead of pursuing anything we want to be happy, we think money is going to fill the void. People don’t understand what they hunger for so they go on living empty lives, pushing down the pain until it either erupts or they forget its there and start developing inter-personal issues. Its cute, it really is. I’m no better than my fellow alleged homo sapiens, but I like to think I’m slightly ahead of the curve. That in itself is difficult because its like being the smart kid in class, you either lower yourself to fit in, or end up alone because no one understands and enjoys the things you do.
And then the way humans treat one another. You guys know the grand punchline is you all die at the end right? Regardless of your hording of shiny objects, or the clothes, or the food you indulge in, you die. You lie, and steal, and kill one another regularly because peaceful coexistence is an impossible concept for some foreign reason. Sure people have different opinions and cultural traits, but…guess what! They die too. So is compromise really that difficult?
Lets not get started on the way you even really treat people who are different. The terrible labels and things you say. And then you go on to raise children with the same prejudices. Skin color, weight, height, geographical origins, beliefs, hair style, possessions, behavior, family history, you people find everything to hate one another for. Luckily I hate you all equally! For me every person starts in the negative. What that means is if you were never to exist, it wouldn’t matter to me. Then some people work their ways up to the neutral, and sometimes into the positives. Unimportant.
My point is humanity is critically flawed. So self-centered thinking “we’re destroying the planet” or “We’re saving the planet” no, you’re only really destroying or saving yourselves. We could nuke ourselves to atomic dust and the planet earth will survive. Maybe the animals won’t, but hey at least you didn’t survive to see that either. This doesn’t apply to the few good people I’ve seen out there, but the rest of you severely disappoint me. I doubt you care, but you really should be ashamed of yourselves. I refuse to even share a specie categorization with you.
